Guess who's Back?

So, its definititly been awhile. Where has everybody been. Seriously, it's like nobody ever updates anymore. Oh, well. For all of your enjoyment, I am updating now, as you all can see. I've basically been having a blast with baseball. We went up to Edmonton this weekend for a tournament. We sucked, as always. Like seriously, we lead our league in runs scored, but we also lead the league in runs allowed. I think we have the worst defense in the history of baseball. Anyways, we were in Edmonton, and we had just gotten back from West Ed. Most of the team decided to go across the street to Mac's to get some snacks, since our coach was irresponsible and didn't set a curfew, this was at about 11:30 at night. It turned out that Mac's was closed, so we were going over to Superstore when we realized that one of us was wearing a Flames t-shirt. Since we had no desire to get mugged by some nutty Oilers fan, we had to find a sweatshirt for her to wear, before continuing to jaywalk over a major intersection barefooted, and almost getting hit by a car. And after all that, Superstore was closed, too. Needless to say, it was a fairly exciting experience. I hope to see some blog updates soon, guys.

Hello everybody. So I've decided to randomly update now. We got back from Quebec a few days ago, for those of you who didn't go, it was pretty much amazing. I loved it. We did alot of really cool things. Everything from shopping to seeing old churches and waterfalls, to getting lost in downtown Montreal. Yes, we did get lost, but not the whole group, just some of us. It was actually kind of fun, since we weren't permanently lost, obviously I guess because we are all safe and alive at home. We even had good weather for most of the trip, except the last day when it snowed/rained/sleeted for the whole time and we had to walk outside in it. It was still a pretty sweet expirience. I am now psyched for baseball to start, although not as much as before, since I have to play in a different community with a bunch of people I don't know. Oh, well. I'm sure I'll still have a blast. I am not anxious to go back to school, but I guess I kinda have to. Blek. Bye everybody.

So, lately life has been pretty exciting. It sucked bad on Wednesday, because that was when we lost league final for basketball and therefore can't go to Provincials. That was a heartbreaker. Then we watched a pretty cool movie tonight as a team. It was meant to be inspirational going to into Provincials, but was still a sweet movie. It was called Heart of the Game. Really awesome, although the players and coach were psychotic. Stuff like thinking of yourselves as a pack of lions, a wolfpack, or a tropical storm, and having cheers like "Draw Blood", and "Kill the Moose". It was sweet, though. So, my quote today is from a sweet song from Relient K's new CD. It's called Deathbed. It's an awesome song. " I can smell the death on the sheets Covering meI can't believe this is the end I can hear You whisper to me,"It's time to leave You'll never be lonely again But this was my deathbed I died there alone When I closed my eyes tonight You carried me home."

Guess who's Back?

Okay, so it's been awhile, I know. I guess I've just been really busy lately. Especially now with more basketball stuff, only 1 day off from it until Sunday. On that note, guess who won a tournament(other than the Bearspaw one) for the first time in three years? Yeah, that's right, we did. It was in Rosemary, and I had an absolute blast. The semi final game was so intense,I thought I was going to have a heart attack. But we did end up winning. I discovered something intersting not to long ago. Relient K is coming out with a new CD, and I am psyched beyond belief. It's supposed to have an eleven minute track on it. It's gonna be amazing. Anyways, guys, I'll leave you with my quote of the day. It's from this new song I wasx listening to by Toby Mac."The dream is fading, now I'm staring at the door
I know its over cause my feet have hit the cold floor
Check my reflection, I ain't feelin what I see
It's no mystery."

I'm feeling in a really strange and random mood right now. Although that might just be due to the fact that I'm completely exhausted. Some of you guys know why(for those of you who don't, three words, 12 minute run), because you should be from that too. I'm also not very excited for exams to start. I am, however, wuite excited for basketball. We have 3 weekends in a row with tournaments, two out of town. It should be incredible. Even though I don't actually get to play, and am just the stats keeper, along with Keri, I'm still having alot of fun with basketball this year. I think that's mainly because we have an amazing team this year, as always, and it always feels good to win. Now, as I have been liking to do lately, I'll give you a band I like and a quote.
FM Static is another band that I've really liked lately.Their lead singer is actually Trevor Mcnevan from Thousand Foot Krutch, which I think is kind of neat. I especially like two of their songs."Definitly Maybe" and "America's Next Freak." They're both pretty much amazing songs, and FM Static in general is just a great band. So, I'll leave you guys with my quote tonight. "Want to know what sin is? To know God and turn anyway. This is sin. It's entirely yours." (Everything Counts, P.183).

These are some of my favorite bands and some lyrics used in songs by them. Hope you enjoy.

Stellar Kart . My favorite song by them is "Hold On". Quote:"If the stars don't shine tonight/And tommorow forgets the light/Hold on/Hold on to me." (Hold On)

Hawk Nelson. Favorite Song: Take Me. Quote:"Can you hear me/Does anyone around me/Feel the way that I feel now?/ Cause from the window where I sometimes cry I just wanna see your face tonight/ And I'm willing to lose everything I am.."(Take Me)

The Classic Crime. Favorite Song: The Fight. Quote:"I'll take my heart back/And set the people free/I'll leave the dead to die and take who's coming with me."(The Fight)
I could go on all day with this, but these are just a few bands that I think are really awesome, both for their lyrics and the music. They're definitly worth a listen.

So dudes, how's life? Exciting as usual, I hope. I have an awesome quote for you today. It's from a Relient K song, "Which to Bury, Us or the Hatchet?". It goes as follows: "You know I'll always love you but right now I just don't like you." You can thank Rory the Rocket for that brilliant quote. We are super bored in food studies right now, because The Irresponsible Teacher( aka Mrs. Junior High English Teacher) left us alll alone without a sub or classmates. It sucks!!!!But we are making the most of it.

Yo coolios, it's the Cool Cat Master of Cool here (that means Lauren in cool cat). We're gonna go buy some chips and eat them and then go to Lauren's locker so we'll be going now. The sad thing is, I just forgot how to spell now. Do any of you have advent calanders? I have this ah-mazing Winnie the Pooh one. It rox (haha - look at my cool cat spelling).;Bye.

Land of Blooming Water Lilies

Aren't these inspirational? They inspired me to write this poem:

Water lily, Water lily
O! How I love the when I'm chilly.
So touching
Make me want to sing.
To the Rocky Mountains
and pour my thoughts into a fountain.
O! How I love thee water lily,
I adore thee, yes, really.
